Dr. Calandra Davis
Principal My name is Calandra Davis. I hold an Ed.D. in educational leadership from South Carolina State University. I earned an Ed.S. in educational leadership from Appalachian State University. I also hold a M.Ed. in secondary school administration and a B.A. in English from Clemson University. I truly love serving as the principal of Jenkins Elementary School! Most recently, I served as a lecturer and clinical supervisor at Clemson University. Prior to returning to my alma mater as a lecturer, I served as a school administrator for 12 years in elementary, middle, and high schools. I was also an English language arts teacher for 6 years in grades 8 through 12. I believe that administrators are not proficient until all of their teachers are proficient. In turn, teachers aren’t proficient until all of their students are proficient. That belief serves as a driving force behind my work as I truly want to help everyone I serve reach his or her full potential. Doing so aids my growth as leader. I have two adult children, Aubrey, age 23, and Azsa, age 25. When I am not at school I enjoy gardening, completing home improvement projects, and spending time with my loved ones. My email address is [email protected]. Be sure to follow us on Facebook at Jenkins Elementary and Twitter at #jenkinsbobcats. -- |
